Have you always wondered what it's like to be able to breathe underwater? Book a full or half day diving adventure and find out.

This scuba diving experience program is designed for complete beginners. After a dive briefing you take your first exhilarating breaths in standing depth water. Your instructor takes you through some basic scuba skills and then guides you on your first relaxed dive.

Both sides of the Beara Peninsula are prolific in marine life and Kenmare Bay is a designated S.A.C. ( special area of conservation ). Apart from being a master scuba diver trainer your instructor also has a diploma in marine biology and qualifications in marine Algae (sea weed) studies. So your try a dive adventure will also be educational if you have an interest in the marine environment.

Marine life commonly seen on these beginner dives are hermit crabs, wrasse, scallops, dogfish, sea urchins, anemones, coal fish, sand eels and much more.

Specific Information

From age 10yrs and up can participate. Under 18's will need to be accompanied by an adult ( not necessarily on the dive. On the shore taking photos is fine too)

If you feel that you may have any issues with your fitness to participate in scuba diving, please get in contact and a medical questionnaire can be emailed to you for guidance.

Included in the discover scuba diving full day tour are two dives with full equipment hire, your personal instructor and insurance.

As part of your tailor made itinerary, lunch between dives can range from a shore side picnic to a cafe / pub lunch or at a restaurant or 5* hotel.

Even though a maximum of two people can try scuba diving on any given session. We strive to accommodate the needs of families and can select dive sites that are suitable for very young children to play in shallow sandy areas. Non diving family members may like a location selected that has nearby cliff walks or beach combing. Snorkeling is generally very good at our try a dive locations.

Another popular option for groups or families who have more than two people who want to dive, is to book the full day option and to swap family members for the afternoon dive. This way four people can try diving in the one day trip.
